What a great-looking cover, eh?

Pennsylvania Breweries was one of the best-reviewed
brewery guidebooks ever published in America. And why not: I took the best ideas
from every brewery guide book I'd ever read and then added a lot more,
like lodging suggestions, local attractions for the family beer traveler,
and reviews of bars near the breweries for killing that post-tour thirst.
It worked so well, I didn't change a thing for New York
Breweries; you'll find the same deep information here.
Stan and Daria at www.beertravelers.com
liked that: ""It is an amazingly up-to-date guide
that not only has plenty of details about the breweries ... but that also
acknowledges there is life beyond the brewery walls."*
Then I stirred it all together with my easy-reading style.
As Great Lakes Brewing News said, "it’s the
down-to-earth, conversational tone of his descriptions and reviews
that draws a reader in. While reading this book, I felt like I was
listening to a beer buddy talk."
New York Breweries
is even better; my editor trusted the appeal of my style more this
time, and I think it came out great. (Jack Curtin agrees!,
and so do Rick Armon and Patrick Flanigan of the Rochester
Democrat & Chronicle)
I have every reason to believe that this book will be even better received
than Pennsylvania Breweries.
Every brewery entry has phone and Web info, a map (my
dad's idea), and info on hours, tours, food (if applicable), parking, and
notes about kids, handicapped access, and vegan-friendliness. There are
also those lodging, attractions, and bar suggestions, along with a
narrative to give you a good feel for the place.
*See what Stan and Daria had to
say about the second edition: they really liked it!

Wow,
another great-looking cover!
Buy a signed copy direct! When
you buy direct from me, I make a lot more, so I can sell it for
less. For $17 I'll send you a signed copy of New York Breweries or Pennsylvania Breweries
(for $34 you can get one of each!),
postage included. There's just one catch: I can
currently
only accept checks or money orders (I'm working on credit cards), so we have to work through the mail.
(Yes, I did have to raise my price to the list price. Postage went up,
mailers went up, gas went up...the books went up. Sorry!) Send
me a check for $17 for each book ordered (PA residents, sorry, but it's gotta be
$18.02 with the
tax) or $15 plus $2 shipping for the PA Breweries video (PA-volk
pay $15.90 plus $2). Enclose
the following:
-
Clearly printed instructions on which book(s)
you want -- or the video -- and whose name(s) you want me to sign it/them
for.
-
Your e-mail address (for when I have to ask questions about your
clearly printed instructions).
-
Any suggestions you have for dedication (e.g., "Bob's a
homebrewer, so say something about his beer," or "Jane
really loves Yuengling!")
-
Very important: your address.
-
Don't forget the check!

Already have a copy?
Getting it signed is as easy as pie. Just mail it to me at the address below in a
box, padded envelope, or other re-usable mailer.
Enclose the following:
- The book(s)
- Clearly printed instructions on whose name you want me to sign it
for.
- Your e-mail address (for when I have to ask questions about your
clearly printed instructions).
- Any suggestions you have for dedication (e.g., "Bob's a
homebrewer, so say something about his beer," or "Jane
really loves Yuengling!")
- Three $1 bills per book (Don't send change!). If your mailer is re-usable, I'll
send a buck back with each book (the other two are to cover postage and
handling); if it's trashed, I'll have to buy another mailer. If you
don't send the three bucks, I guess I'd just have to keep the book until you
do.
